Why are TikTok Stories not showing?

First, check what the result actually says

An account can have ordinary public posts even when no current Stories are returned. Use Stories and Public posts to separate them. A list of videos is not proof that the Story lookup succeeded.

If the message says Stories could not be checked, their availability is unknown. If it says this lookup did not check Stories, search the account’s username rather than a specific post link.

Check the username or link

Confirm the @username on the TikTok profile, rather than using the display name. If the creator changed their username, an older link may no longer lead to the account you expect.

When you have a direct video or photo link, paste that link to request the specific item. It may be a regular post rather than a Story.

Availability can change

TikTok describes Stories as photos and videos available for 24 hours. A creator can remove content before then. Visibility restrictions or a source that temporarily does not respond can also prevent a usable result.

TikTokStory works with accessible public content. It cannot retrieve private content or recover an expired Story. We do not identify the cause as deletion or expiry unless the result supports that conclusion.

1. No current Stories returned: check the handle and consider trying a known current Story link.
2. Stories could not be checked: try again later. Ordinary posts may still be available.
3. Too many requests or a busy service: pause before retrying; repeated clicks will not help.
4. A preview or file stopped loading: retry that item, or refresh results to request a fresh link.
5. A problem keeps happening: use the support contact in Terms and include the public link, approximate time and error message. Never send passwords or session cookies.
