How to download a TikTok video cover
Open the video in TikTok and choose Share, then Copy link. Paste that video link above and select Get video cover. Check the returned image and its dimensions, then select Download cover. Each submission checks one video.
Thumbnail and cover mean the same image here
A thumbnail is the preview image representing a video. This tool saves the available static cover supplied for that video. It does not play or download the video, generate a new cover, or let you select a frame from the footage.
Check the available cover size
The preview reports the actual width and height of the loaded image. Covers can have different sizes and proportions. We preserve the returned file without stretching or upscaling it; a large preview does not prove that it is the creator’s original upload.
Find the saved image on your phone
After downloading, open your browser’s downloads list and check the image file. Saving it into Photos or your gallery may require a separate action on your device. A download notice alone does not confirm that the file is in your photo library.
When a cover is unavailable
Check that the link points to a public video that can still be opened. Our current source must be able to resolve the video to return its cover. Deleted, private, restricted or temporarily unavailable content may not return an image. Submit the link again if the preview has expired, and wait before retrying a rate-limited request.

Can I enter a username?
Use a video link for this tool. A username identifies an account, not one cover. Open Profile Viewer to browse an account’s available videos and choose a cover there.
Does this download pictures from a photo post?
No. Use Photo Downloader for the individual images in a photo or slideshow post. The first photo in a post is not treated as a video cover here.
Is every cover 1080p or HD?
No. The dimensions depend on the image currently available from the source. The preview shows the actual pixels, without promising a fixed resolution.
Can I get the exact original cover the creator uploaded?
This tool retrieves the available video thumbnail. We cannot guarantee that it is the original uploaded file or that it matches every version displayed in the TikTok app.
Can I recover a cover after the video is deleted?
No archive or recovery service is provided. The current video must be accessible to the source used by this tool.
Can I choose a different frame or an animated cover?
No. This version saves one available static image. It does not extract frames, edit a cover or download an animated preview.
